Sheffield Wednesday and Reading are goalless at half time after an opening period of few chances.

After a low-key start, Reading had the first meaningful effort on goal as Chris Gunter hit a hard shot marginally over the bar from long-range.

Wednesday lost their captain Glen Loovens after half-an-hour as he hobbled off with an injury, and was replaced by Vincent Sasso.

Reading almost took advantage as Stephen Quinn found Danny Williams in the box, but his goalbound shot was blocked.
