Carlos Bocanegra, Dorin Goian depart Rangers

A statement from Scottish outfit Rangers has confirmed that defensive duo Carlos Bocanegra and Dorin Goian have left the club on free transfers.

Bocanegra, 34, spent last season on loan at Racing Santander, while Goian, 32, impressed during a spell with Italian Serie B side Spezia.

"After discussions in the last few days, both men are now free to pursue their careers elsewhere having terminated their deals in Glasgow a year early," read the statement.

It is believed that Bocanegra will seek a return to the United States.
