Rangers midfielder charged with betting breach

Rangers midfielder Ian Black has been charged by the Scottish Football Association for breaching their betting rules.

The 28-year-old is alleged to have made three bets against teams that he was registered with at the time between March 2006 and July 2013.

Black, who has played for Hearts and Rangers during that seven-year period, is also alleged to have bet on a further 10 football matches that involved a then-registered club, while the SFA claims that the player bet on another 147 games involving other teams.

Black has until Monday to respond to the charge.
