McInnes dismisses Rangers rumours

Aberdeen boss Derek McInnes has dismissed talk that he could replace Ally McCoist as manager of Rangers.

McCoist's days as Gers coach appear numbered as he is currently in a 12-month notice period after tendering his resignation, but McInnes insists that he is happy at Pittodrie Stadium and has no intention of leaving.

"I'm really happy here and I think it's unfair, there's still a manager in place at that club and he's a friend of mine," BBC Sport quotes the Dons boss as saying.

"I have no desire to leave Aberdeen at the minute, I'm really enjoying myself here and I feel as though we've got work to finish."

McInnes has been credited with revitalising Aberdeen since taking over in March 2013, guiding them to League Cup glory last season.
