Ally McCoist: 'Rangers have a confidence crisis'

McCoist: 'Rangers have a confidence crisis'

Ally McCoist has admitted that his Rangers side are playing like they have a "confidence crisis" after the team lost to Queen of the South in the Scottish Championship this evening.

The 2-0 defeat has left the team with just one win in their last four matches, which gives Hearts a nine-point advantage at the top of the table.

The manager told BT Sport: "The buck stops with the manager. Hearts are absolutely firm favourites.

"I'd like to thank the supporters. They did not get a performance tonight. There's promotion to be played for. It looks as if there's a confidence crisis. We can do a lot better than we did tonight.

"No excuses, performance not good enough. We'll look at it tomorrow morning and we'll move on."

It was reported earlier today that McCoist had offered to resign from his post, but he stated before the match that he is "100% committed" to getting the club back in the Scottish Premiership.
