Stuart McCall: Rangers "confident" ahead of Hibernian clash

Rangers manager Stuart McCall insists that his side will go into their playoff tie against Hibernian with "great confidence".

Stuart McCall has insisted that his Rangers side will go into their playoff clash with Hibernian with "great confidence" after overcoming Queen of the South.

The sides drew 1-1 at Ibrox this afternoon to give Gers a 3-2 aggregate win, setting up the two-legged tie with Hibs, with the first fixture taking place on Wednesday.

The manager told BBC Scotland: "We go in with great confidence. There aren't many injuries and we should have a healthy squad to chose from.

"It can work in two ways, Hibs will have had 18 days off and we've had two tough games. But I am confident in the group of players that we'll be ready on Wednesday. We've got two teams going into the next tie in good form. Hibs finished the season well.

"In all the big games this season, the lads have produced for us. People were doubting us at Queen of the South and probably doubting us at half time today. We've been to Hearts and should have won there, we beat Hearts here and we've been to Hibs and won."

The winner of the tie will face Motherwell for a place in next season's Scottish Premiership.
