New Rangers manager Stuart McCall is hopeful that he can bring out the players' "confidence" for the run-in of the Scottish Championship season.
The 50-year-old was appointed as the club's boss until the end of the season following Kenny McDowall's departure.
"The aim for us is to get out of this league," McCall told reporters. "It's been difficult for the boys today, getting a group text on their day off at 11.30am to be here at 2.30pm, but they got here, and we've had a good meeting. This club has been kicked for too long. The fans don't want to come and boo.
"There's a good group here who need confidence and guidance. Like anything in life, if you do it with confidence you do it better."
Rangers are currently third in the league table, 22 points behind leaders Hearts.
