Rangers handed St Johnstone test in Scottish League Cup

Rangers will host St Johnstone in the quarter-finals of the Scottish League, while Celtic take on Partick Thistle.

Rangers will play host to St Johnstone in the quarter-finals of the Scottish League Cup.

The Gers booked their place in the last eight when they defeated Falkirk 3-1 away from home on Tuesday evening, while the Saints overcame Kilmarnock 1-0.

Rangers' bitter rivals Celtic will take on Partick Thistle at home after thrashing Hearts 3-0 at Celtic Park, while holders Aberdeen will face Hamilton Academical.

Scottish Championship outfit Hibernian will take on Dundee United at home after securing a 2-0 victory over Ross County in the previous round.

The ties will be played on October 28 and 29.
