Bilel Mohsni ready to quit football after seven-game ban from SFA

Bilel Mohsni ready to quit football

Former Rangers defender Bilel Mohsni has said that it is "okay" if he has to walk away from professional football.

The Tunisia international was reacting after he was banned for seven games by the Scottish Football Association for kicking and punching Motherwell's Lee Erwin in last month's Scottish Premiership playoff.

Rangers did not offer Mohsni a new contract at the end of the season and he will now have to find a club willing to deal with his ban, unless he moves to a country where foreign bans do not apply.

"You know what? I don't care anymore," Mohsni told PA when asked if he feared for his career.

"If a manager trusts me, I will be happy to play for him. If no-one trusts me, it's okay. I will find a job and work."

Mohsni scored 10 goals in a productive first season for Rangers in Scottish League One in 2013-14, but he made just 15 appearances in the Championship last term.
