Report: Granero to leave on cheap if QPR go down

Queens Park Rangers are expected to lose midfielder Esteban Granero for a cut-price transfer fee if the club are relegated from the Premier League.

The Hoops currently sit bottom of the table, having failed to record a single victory in their opening 15 games.

Granero, 25, signed a four-year deal when he arrived at Loftus Road from Real Madrid in a £9m move in August.

However, according to The Metro, Granero's contract includes a clause which states that QPR must accept all bids over £5.5m for the Spaniard if they lose their top-flight status.

Newcastle United and Sunderland are both rumoured to be interested in signing Granero.
