Queens Park Rangers manager Harry Redknapp insists that he will not panic buy in the transfer window and will only bring suitable players to Loftus Road in January.

Harry Redknapp has insisted that he will not add to his struggling Queens Park Rangers squad in January unless the right players are available.

The Hoops currently sit bottom of the Premier League, having won just one of their opening 19 top-flight matches this season.

Redknapp's appointment in November was with a view to steering Rangers clear of the relegation zone, and it was widely thought that he would dip into the transfer market to help make that happen.

However, the former Tottenham Hotspur boss has stressed that he will not panic buy in the upcoming window.

"If we can get one or two in, we'll give ourselves a chance. That's what I'm looking at," he said.

"If I can't bring in people who I think can do the job for us, then I won't bother. There's no point signing players for the sake of it.

"I've got to sign people in the right positions who can help us. If we can't do that, we may as well sit tight and see what happens."

Redknapp has been linked with moves for Nicolas Anelka, as well as Spurs duo Michael Dawson and Scott Parker.
