Queens Park Rangers move for William Gallas stuck over wage demands

QPR move for Gallas stuck over wages

Queens Park Rangers' attempts to sign William Gallas are thought to be stuck in limbo due to the French defender's wage demands.

Gallas will be allowed to leave Tottenham Hotspur on a free transfer by manager Andre Villas-Boas, but he is not willing to take a wage cut on his £60,000-a-week wages, according to The People.

QPR want Gallas but are not prepared to make him a high earner at Loftus Road due to the player's injury record, with Gallas only making 18 appearances for Spurs last season.

Hoops boss Mark Hughes has been active in the transfer market this summer, signing Gallas's former teammate Ryan Nelsen alongside deals for Robert Green, Andrew Johnson, Park Ji-Sung and Junior Hoilett.

Gallas could make QPR the fourth London club of his career if he agrees a move to Loftus Road.
