QPR chasing loan deal for Patrick Bamford?

Queens Park Rangers are the latest side reported to have thrown their hat in the ring for Chelsea striker Patrick Bamford.

The 22-year-old had signed a season-long loan deal with Crystal Palace but cut short his spell with the Eagles last week, branding it "terrible" after playing just 119 minutes in the first half of the campaign.

Hoops boss Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink is now interested in signing the youngster for the rest of the campaign and is hoping to make use of his old contacts at Chelsea to seal the deal, according to The Sun.

Bamford was named Championship Player of the Year last season for his time at Middlesbrough, who are also thought to be interested, although he has indicated that he would prefer to stay in the top flight.

Managerless Swansea City have also been credited with an interest amid speculation that Bafetimbi Gomis and Jonjo Shelvey will leave the Welsh side this month.

Palace manager Alan Pardew recently advised Bamford that he would 'need to harden' if he wants to succeed in the Premier League.
