Stephane Mbia welcomes Loic Remy to Queens Park Rangers

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Stephane Mbia has claimed on Twitter that Loic Remy's move to the club is "official".

Recent reports had suggested that the Marseille striker was due to undergo a medical with the R's, who have beaten off competition from Newcastle United to sign the French international.

While there has been no confirmation from either club, Mbia has welcomed his former teammate to Loftus Road.

"IT'S OFFICIAL WELCOME REMY !!! #QPR," Mbia tweeted.

Remy is believed to be costing QPR around £10m.
