QPR poised to sign Andy Johnson

Johnson close to QPR move

Reports have claimed that Queens Park Rangers are close to completing the signing of Andy Johnson on a free transfer.

Johnson's contract with Fulham expired earlier this month and he has been linked with a move to a club in the United Arab Emirates.

However, Sky Sports News have reported that Mark Hughes is keen to sign the striker and that a deal could be completed in the next few days.

The 31-year-old has also appeared for Crystal Palace and Everton in the Premier League.

QPR are also rumoured to be interested in signing goalkeeper Robert Green on a free transfer.
