Heurelho Gomes tells Julio Cesar to leave Queens Park Rangers

Gomes: 'Cesar should leave QPR'

Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes believes that Julio Cesar should part ways with Queens Park Rangers because manager Harry Redknapp is stubborn.

The Brazilian has not featured for the R's this season in the Championship following an operation on a finger in September, resulting in Rob Green taking the number one spot.

"Julio has to work with someone who is almost impossible to have his mind changed," the Daily Star quotes Gomes as saying. "I worked with him at Tottenham and I had my share of difficulties, too.

"He doesn't like South Americans much, Brazilians mainly. He doesn't care if you're in Brazil's first XI or not. Julio will keep having problems if he continues at QPR. If he gets any chance to leave, he should do so, in order to get playing time."

Cesar moved to Loftus Road from Inter Milan last year.
