Fiorentina have reportedly approached Queens Park Rangers for Brazilian goalkeeper Julio Cesar.
The 33-year-old is ready to leave Loftus Road just under a year since joining from Inter Milan and has recently been in talks over a loan deal with Napoli.
However, Hoops boss Harry Redknapp is believed to be keen on a permanent sale, describing a short-term arrangement as "pointless".
According to Sky Sport Italia, Viola are interested in buying the Brazil international and have opened discussions with the Championship outfit.
