Joey Barton absent from Queens Park Rangers squad photo

Joey Barton's days as a Queens Park Rangers player appear to be numbered after he was not included in the squad's team photograph for the new season.

The midfielder is currently serving a 12-match suspension for his actions on the final day of the last campaign against champions Manchester City.

As a result, Barton has been training with League Two outfit Fleetwood Town to maintain his fitness.

That has led to speculation linking him with a loan move away from Loftus Road, with Marseille, Blackburn Rovers and Blackpool all said to be considering making offers in recent days.

Today's exclusion from the photo lineup has resulted in speculation that a transfer could be nearing completion.
