Djibril Cisse subjected to racist abuse

Queens Park Rangers striker Djibril Cisse has been subjected to racist abuse on social networking site Twitter.

The 30-year-old had messages left by Lazio fans on his account following his move from the Serie A side on Tuesday.

"Wow, it's the idiot parade today," Cisse tweeted. "I'm really shocked, you two guys are ... brainless and you should be ... ashamed."

The news comes after police launched an investigation into alleged racist remarks aimed at Newcastle Unites striker Shola Ameobi on Facebook.
