Report: Sherwood heads QPR shortlist

Tim Sherwood is reportedly the leading candidate to become the next manager of Queens Park Rangers.

The Hoops are currently looking for a successor to Harry Redknapp, who stepped down on Tuesday after two years at the helm.

Sherwood has been out of work since being sacked as Tottenham Hotspur boss in May last year.

Real Madrid assistant coach Paul Clement and current Derby County boss Steve McClaren are also said to be in the frame for the manager's job at QPR.

However, Sherwood is the leading contender for the vacancy following a restructuring of the coaching staff at Loftus Road, according to BT Sport.

Les Ferdinand, who worked under Sherwood at Spurs, was appointed QPR director of football on Wednesday.
