Report: Richard Dunne to retire

Veteran centre-back Richard Dunne will announce his retirement from football this summer, according to reports.

The 35-year-old was released by Queens Park Rangers following their relegation to the Championship, and admitted that he was considering his future.

However, The Irish Mirror reports that Dunne has rejected offers to go and play in India, USA and Ireland as he wants to spend more time with his young family.

Dunne spent nine seasons with Manchester City before leaving in 2009, and subsequently played for Aston Villa and QPR.
