Harry Redknapp not discussing managerial role at Queens Park Rangers

Redknapp not discussing QPR job

Harry Redknapp has refused to discuss speculation linking him with the manager's job at Queens Park Rangers.

Current QPR manager Mark Hughes's position at Loftus Road has come under intense scrutiny following a run of results that has seen them rooted to the bottom of the Premier League table.

A section of QPR supporters made their feelings known during yesterday's 3-1 loss to Southampton by holding up a banner that read 'Harry Come And Save Us'.

However, Redknapp has insisted that it would not be fair on Hughes for him to comment on the reports.

"It would not be fair of me to talk [about the QPR job]. Mark is in the position he is in, but he is a top bloke, an excellent manager," he told Match of the Day. "He signed Vincent Kompany so he knows what he is about. Until there is a change, if there is, is would not be fair of me to discuss it.

"My wife put the banner up, she just wants to get me out of the house! We will wait and see."

Redknapp has been out of work since leaving Tottenham Hotspur at the end of last season.
