Queens Park Rangers to make announcement at 3pm

Queens Park Rangers have said they are to make a major announcement at a press conference at 3pm today.

A statement on the club's website read: "The announcement will put the QPR brand on a global scale and is further demonstration of the board's continuing efforts to move the club forward and become established in the Barclays Premier League.

"QPR chairman Tony Fernandes and manager Mark Hughes will be amongst those in attendance."

The West London side narrowly avoided relegation by a single point last season and open this season's campaign by welcoming Swansea City to Loftus Road.
