Queens Park Rangers boss Mark Hughes has admitted that the club "started slowly" in their 1-0 loss to West Bromwich Albion on Saturday.
The result leaves QPR just two points clear of the relegation zone, with Hughes admitting that the first goal in the match was vital.
"I think we started slowly, it's difficult obviously on the road we had a great result and performance on Wednesday [against Swansea City] and we needed to hit that level, but we weren't able to do that today," Hughes told Sky Sports News.
"We've conceded a goal, albeit a fantastic strike from the boy, at that point everybody knows the opening goal, given our circumstances, is really important."
QPR remain in 16th spot in the Premier League table.
