Mark Hughes praises 'deserved' win

Mark Hughes believes that it would have been a "travesty" if his Queens Park Rangers side had not beaten Tottenham Hotspur earlier today.

Mark Hughes believes that his Queens Park Rangers side fully deserved their 1-0 win over Tottenham Hotspur earlier today.

Despite allowing Spurs large amounts of time in possession, Hughes is adamant that it would have been a "travesty" had his side not ended the encounter with all three points.

"We allowed Spurs possession but that was the plan, we were always dangerous on the break," said Hughes.

"I felt it would have been a travesty if we hadn't got the three points."

QPR won the match despite being down to ten men following Adel Taarabt's red card 12 minutes from time.
