Former player and boss Ian Holloway wishes Queens Park Rangers playoff luck

Holloway wishes QPR luck

Millwall boss Ian Holloway has wished former club Queens Park Rangers luck ahead of their Championship playoff semi-final second leg against Wigan Athletic this evening.

Holloway, who had five-year spells with the club as both a player and manager, is hoping that Harry Redknapp's side overcome the Latics to reach the playoff final at Wembley.

After a goalless first leg, both sides will feel that they can progress to face Derby County in the final a week on Saturday.

Speaking to tonight's QPR programme, Holloway said of the R's: "They are a terrific bunch of lads and I wish them all the very best for the playoffs.

"I know I am not connected to Queens Park Rangers anymore but it never leaves you.

"Hopefully I will be very proud of what Harry and the boys can do in the playoffs as I still have a nice, warm place in my heart for the Hoops."
