Ian Holloway hits out at "gloating" Fulham fans

Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway hits out at Fulham fans for "singing and shouting" during the two sides' encounter at Craven Cottage.

Queens Park Rangers manager Ian Holloway has slated Fulham fans for heckling him during the two sides' encounter at Craven Cottage yesterday afternoon.

The Cottagers looked to be heading for a 10th consecutive home victory after Tom Cairney and Lucas Piazon gave them a two-goal advantage, but Massimo Luongo halved the deficit just before the break and Pawel Wszolek's strike earned the Hoops a point late on.

Holloway's side could have even walked away with more after dominating the game in the second period and speaking afterwards, the manager was critical of the home support's complacency.

"I'm very pleased with the character than my whole club is showing; my supporters who walked here today; I just don't like football sometimes because people start gloating," he told reporters.

"You start gloating and you look the idiot, you know what I mean?

"When it was 2-0 people were singing and shouting, and what is it all about? The game is much bigger than you, it is. You can pay and do what you like, but I tell you what, go and gloat at home on your own now because you nearly lost that game."

The result left QPR 15th in the Championship table, 14 points above the dropzone and 15 points off the playoffs with eight games of the season remaining.
