Robert Green "relieved" after Queens Park Rangers away win

Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Robert Green admits that his side are "relieved" to have finally recorded their first away win in the Premier League this season.

Queens Park Rangers goalkeeper Robert Green has admitted that there were feelings of "relief and joy" in the dressing room after the club recorded their first Premier League away win of the season at Sunderland.

Goals from Leroy Fer and Bobby Zamora were enough to take the managerless side out of the relegation zone, and Green revealed that he had missed the feeling of securing a victory on the road.

The 35-year-old told Sky Sports News: "There is relief and joy in the dressing room. You can't beat that feeling of thousands and thousands of fans walking out disappointed when we have got our own little corner singing away.

"It's a feeling that has been missed for a long time. We went out and started well and it was a fantastic performance from everyone."

QPR had lost 12 successive away games in all competitions before the triumph at the Stadium of Light.
