Tony Fernandes: 'Queens Park Rangers made Chelsea look average'

QPR owner Tony Fernandes is enthused that his side made Premier League leaders "look ordinary" during their 1-0 defeat to the Blues at Loftus Road.

Queens Park Rangers owner Tony Fernandes has expressed his "shock" following his side's late 1-0 defeat to Chelsea at Loftus Road this afternoon.

The relegation-threatened R's looked on course to earn a hard-fought point with the Premier League leaders in a contest in which they were the better team for large spells.

However, Cesc Fabregas fired home an 88th-minute winner with what was the Blues' first shot on target to leave Rangers 18th in the standings.

He tweeted: "I don't care about the result. We made Chelsea look ordinary and had the better chances. We will bounce back. Proud of everyone.

"I am still in shock. We were the better side. But chin up 5 games to go. That result hardest to take. Fight all the way."

Next up for QPR is a visit from West Ham United.
