Anton Ferdinand blasts critics after John Terry verdict

Ferdinand hits back at Twitter abuse

Queens Park Rangers defender Anton Ferdinand has hit out at Twitter users abusing him following John Terry's guilty verdict in a racism trial.

The Chelsea captain was hit with a four-match ban and a £220,000 fine after the Football Association deemed the centre-back guilty of racially abusing Ferdinand during a West London derby last October.

Ferdinand wrote on Twitter: "On a serious note people need to read the facts before they send stupid tweets to me with liar and grass in it footage don't lie."

Terry is believed to be pondering whether to appeal the FA ruling.
