Steven Caulker backs Queens Park Rangers to recover

Steven Caulker backs QPR to recover from their defeat to Hull City on the opening day of the new Premier League season.

Queens Park Rangers defender Steven Caulker has backed the team to recover from their opening-day defeat to Hull City in the Premier League.

The R's were beaten 1-0 on Saturday as James Chester's second-half header separated the sides at Loftus Road.

Despite starting their campaign with a loss, Caulker believes that he and his teammates can bounce back when they travel to Tottenham Hotspur next weekend.

"We are very disappointed as we felt we could have had three or four goals but we will take the positives from the performance," he told the club's official website.

"It is never nice when you lose. There's a lot of frustration in the dressing room but we are confident that we can get a result next week. We have a good manager behind us and few experienced heads to keep the atmosphere nice and bubbly."

Following their defeat to Hull, it has been reported that QPR are on the verge of signing Norwich City midfielder Leroy Fer for £8m.
