Leroy Fer ready to return from injury

Queens Park Rangers midfielder Leroy Fer claims that he is ready to make his first appearance of the season in Friday's meeting with Fulham.

Leroy Fer has revealed that he is hoping to return from injury when Queens Park Rangers meet Fulham on Friday night.

The Dutch midfielder looked to be on the way out of Loftus Road in the summer after being linked with Sunderland, but QPR fought to keep him at the club to boost their promotion bid.

A knee injury has kept him on the sidelines since the end of last season and he is finally ready to make his comeback in the London derby.

"I have found it really difficult because I am a player that always wants to play football," he told the club's website after playing 60 minutes for the Under-21 side in a 3-1 win over Crewe on Tuesday.

"It has been a frustrating injury which kept going on and on, but hopefully I can be involved now on Friday."

QPR currently sit ninth in the Championship.
