Southampton return for Jeremain Lens

Southampton boss Nigel Adkins will reportedly return with an improved offer for PSV Eindhoven striker Jeremain Lens.

The 24-year-old has scored 22 goals in 67 games for the Dutch club since joining in 2010, but it is understood that he is keen to try his hand in the Premier League.

The Saints' first bid of around £5m was rejected, according to The Sun, but they will reportedly up their offer to £6.5m.

Southampton secured automatic promotion from the Championship last season.
