Saturday's Eredivisie predictions including PSV Eindhoven vs. RKC Waalwijk

Sports Mole provides score predictions and previews for all of today's Eredivisie fixtures, including PSV Eindhoven vs. RKC Waalwijk.

Feyenoord vs. Willem II (Saturday, 3.30pm)

Aiming to go one better than a runners-up finish last time out, Feyenoord will raise the curtain on their 2024-25 Eredivisie journey on Saturday afternoon when they welcome Willem II at De Kuip.

While Feyenoord have established themselves as a mainstay in Dutch football, their visitors this weekend only just regained promotion to the top flight and will be keen to find their feet as soon as possible.

We say: Feyenoord 3-1 Willem II

The gulf in quality between both teams only points to one outcome - a win for Feyenoord.

We fully expect the home side to cruise to a routine victory and get their league season underway on a winning note.

Nijmegen vs. FC Twente (Saturday, 5.45pm)

NEC and FC Twente will take to the field for their Eredivisie season opener on Saturday evening as they go head-to-head at Stadion de Goffert in Nijmegen.

Both sides head into their opening fixture off the back of relatively successful league campaigns last time out and will have every reason to be confident of another strong showing.

We say: NEC 1-2 FC Twente

With one eye on their Champions League qualifier three days later, Twente may be tempted to rest a number of key players for this one.

Nonetheless, we are backing the visitors to come away with all three points, albeit by only a narrow margin.

Almere City vs. AZ (Saturday, 7.00pm)

Almere City and AZ Alkmaar get the ball rolling on their 2024-25 Eredivisie campaign with a meeting at the Yanmar Stadion on Saturday evening.

The home side did well enough to avoid relegation in their debut top-flight season last time out, while the visitors finished fourth for a second year running.

We say: Almere City 1-2 AZ Alkmaar

Almere City rounded off their pre-season campaign with three straight wins, and that should inspire a level of confidence in this weekend's hosts.

That said, we are tipping to AZ to come out on top from what should be an open and end-to-end affair.

PSV vs. RKC Waalwijk (Saturday, 8.00pm)

Reigning Eredivisie champions PSV Eindhoven kick off their title defence with a clash against RKC Waalwijk at the Philips Stadion on Saturday.

While the home side possess lofty aspirations, their visitors will be content to stay afloat once again, having only just avoided relegation in the previous campaign.

We say: PSV Eindhoven 3-0 RKC Waalwijk

PSV Eindhoven will be keen to start as they mean to go on and deliver an early statement of intent.

We fancy the champions to run out emphatic winners here and commence their title defence with maximum points this weekend.
