Paris Saint-Germain's Thiago Silva reveals Barcelona offer

Thiago Silva says that he has been offered the chance to play for Barcelona next season by coach Tito Vilanova.

Paris Saint-Germain captain Thiago Silva has revealed that Barcelona are keen to sign him this summer, but insists that he is happy in the French capital.

The Brazilian, who won the Confederations Cup on Sunday, joined the Parisians from AC Milan last summer and managed to lift the Ligue 1 title in his first season at the Parc des Princes.

Silva confirmed that the La Liga giants' coach Tito Vilanova invited him to move to Camp Nou after the sides' meeting in the Champions League last season, but the 28-year-old is adamant that he wants to stay in France.

"Tito is an excellent manager, and a man that I admire," Silva told ESPN. "At the PSG-Barcelona Champions League game I had a brief chat with him and he invited me to play for them.

"There are no negotiations to be talked about. I'm quite calm about it all and just want to enjoy my holidays. You never know what's going to happen in football, but I'm happy at PSG, and at ease there. I talk with the president every day. I can't see myself leaving.

"It's difficult, not like last year when Milan wanted to sell me. Now it's very different - PSG doesn't want to sell me. I hope it all gets sorted out as soon as possible to be rid of all this incertitude."

Silva joined PSG for around £35m last summer.
