Paris Saint-Germain have deleted a tweet posted this afternoon which confirmed that they will sign Ashley Cole at the end of the season.
The French giants posted a message on Twitter which translated as: "English left back Ashley Cole will become a Red and Blue player this summer."
The message was quickly deleted but was still delivered to the club's 356,735 online followers.
Cole is out of contract at the end of the season and is thought to be keen on a reunion with former Blues boss Carlo Ancelotti at PSG.
Interim Chelsea manager Rafael Benitez admitted yesterday that he expects Cole and Frank Lampard to leave Stamford Bridge when their contracts expire in the summer.
