Gregory van der Wiel: 'PSG can be bigger than Real Madrid'

Gregory van der Wiel believes that Paris Saint-Germain can become as big as Real Madrid.

The Dutch full-back, who completed a move to French capital earlier this week, said that he was instantly attracted to the club's plan for success.

"Paris Saint-Germain can become as big a club as Real Madrid," said Van der Wiel. "They want to bring in the best, win the Ligue 1 and be competitive in Europe.

"I was immediately attracted by PSG's approach. I am very happy to be part of this project. They are very ambitious and want to win trophies.

"I was looking for a new challenge and we can achieve something unique here. And of course, it's great to play with a world class player like Ibrahimovic."

Van der Wiel has won 35 caps for the Netherlands.
