Tuchel: 'Anything can happen with Neymar future'

Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel admits that Neymar's future at the club remains uncertain.

Paris Saint-Germain boss Thomas Tuchel has admitted that "anything can happen" regarding Neymar's future in the days remaining until the transfer window shuts across Europe.

While Premier League teams had until August 8 to finalise business, the transfer window for the clubs in Europe's other major leagues closes on September 2.

PSG forward Neymar is one player whose future at the Parc des Princes is reportedly uncertain - with the Brazilian heavily linked with a return to Barcelona - and speaking to the Daily Express, Tuchel said possibilities of an exit still remain for Neymar.

"You think we made a deadline? It's a little late for a deadline, right? Now, it's September 2, right?," the German said. "[Neymar's departure] changes everything, but what can I say?

"Everyone knows my opinion. You know that it's not the coach who decides everything in a situation like this, in a big club, with a big, big player. It's a situation with a lot of parties.

"The first goal is to arrive on September 3 and after that we can think about the composition of this team. I do not want that, but it's the reality in football. The situation in the world of football can sometimes be crazy, so it's not the time to lose your head.

"We have to work with the fact anything can happen in the next four days, or the situation could stay as it is."

Neymar, who moved to Paris in a world-record £198m deal in 2017, has scored 51 goals in 58 games for the club.
