Javier Pastore studied Kaka as a youngster

Paris Saint-Germain attacking midfielder Javier Pastore has revealed that he idolised Real Madrid's Kaka as a youngster.

Kaka was heavily linked with a move to the French capital this summer and Pastore's view of the Brazilian suggests that he would have been welcome at the club.

The former Palermo midfielder told the club's website: "Kaka was always the player I idolised the most when I was a child.

"I watched him play all the time in order to try and learn from him, to maximise my progress."

Kaka's role at Madrid remains uncertain after failing to secure a move away from the Spanish capital.
