Zlatan Ibrahimovic named 'Player of the Month' for September

Paris Saint-Germain striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has won the Ligue 1 'Player of the Month' accolade for September.

The 31-year-old struck five goals in five games to scoop the award, voted for by readers of L'Equipe.

Ibrahimovic beat off competition from his teammate Marco Verratti and Lorient striker Alain Traore, taking 56% of the votes.

Les Parisiens are currently top of Ligue 1.
