How Paris Saint-Germain could line up against Saint-Etienne

How PSG could line up against Saint-Etienne

Paris Saint-Germain will have to cope without the suspended Marco Verratti for Saturday's Ligue 1 clash with Saint-Etienne at the Parc des Princes.

The Italian midfielder has been slapped with a one-game ban for an accumulation of bookings, but the threat of a longer suspension is looming following his comments about the officials after last weekend's loss to Nantes.

Leandro Paredes is also expected to miss out for PSG owing due to an adductor injury, and he is joined on the sidelines by Sergio Ramos, who is recovering from a fresh calf problem, as well as Ander Herrera (muscle).

Mauricio Pochettino is sure to consider handing Gianluigi Donnarumma the gloves as Keylor Navas drops out, with Marquinhos and Presnel Kimpembe continuing at the back.

Achraf Hakimi will expect to displace Thilo Kehrer on the right-hand side, and a third rearguard alteration could see Nuno Mendes selected over Juan Bernat - a change which occurred in the 74th minute against Nantes.

Danilo Pereira is poised to fill the void left by Verratti's absence in midfield, as Idrissa Gueye and Georginio Wijnaldum hold their places.

Neymar produced one of the worst penalties of the season in last weekend's defeat to Nantes, but the Brazilian should form the star-studded attack with Lionel Messi and Kylian Mbappe once again.

PSG possible starting lineup: Donnarumma; Hakimi, Marquinhos, Kimpembe, Mendes; Pereira, Gueye, Wijnaldum; Messi, Mbappe, Neymar
