Half-Time Report: Edinson Cavani fires Paris Saint-Germain ahead

Edinson Cavani's 43rd-minute goal has given Paris Saint-Germain a half-time lead over Reims at the Parc des Princes.

The first chance of the match fell to Cavani, who received a lofted pass from Adrien Rabiot before getting an effort away, but he was unable to find the back of the net.

PSG had a penalty shout turned down by Laurent Duhamel with 34 minutes on the clock, with the referee waving play on when Lucas Moura was brought down in the box by Kossi Agassa.

The home side did manage to make the breakthrough before the interval, however, when Cavani slotted the ball home following a cross into the box from Gregory van der Wiel.
