Cardiff City striker Eoin Doyle to sign for Preston North End?

Cardiff City striker Eoin Doyle could switch to Championship rivals Preston North End, a report suggests.

The 27-year-old Irish forward, who joined the Bluebirds in January, will be subject to an £850k bid from Preston, according to the Irish Independent.

Doyle scored 21 times for League One side Chesterfield in the 2014-15 campaign before making the switch to Cardiff before the close of the January transfer window.

A further five strikes followed for the Welsh side in the Championship last season, but he has yet to make a league appearance in the current campaign.

Preston, currently 17th in the Championship table, will play fifth-placed Cardiff at home on October 17.
