Portugal 3-0 Azerbaijan

Portugal have beaten Azerbaijan 2-0 in Braga to record their second victory of the World Cup qualifying campaign.

The home side wasted a host of chances in the first half and as a result the teams went in goalless at half-time.

Paulo Bento sent on Silvestre Varela to replace Miguel Veloso just after the hour mark and the striker made an instant impact, scoring with a right-footed effort from inside the area.

Helder Postiga made it two with five minutes left on the clock, before Bruno Alves's header completed the scoring just three minutes later.
