Raul Meireles has insisted that Portugal's 3-1 friendly defeat at home to Turkey will not harm their chances of success at Euro 2012.
Portugal were booed off the pitch following the loss in Lisbon, but the Chelsea midfielder has pleaded for patience from his nations supporters.
Meireles told AFP: "It is a negative result and it is normal to be whistled.
"Portuguese fans can be a little impatient, but the players still believe in a positive outcome."
Portugal will face Germany in their opening match on Euro 2012.
