Germany and Portugal receive fines at Euro 2012

Germany and Portugal have each received fines for the behaviour of fans during their opening Group B tie last Saturday.

The German Football Association (DFB) has today been fined €10,000 (£8,000) by the UEFA Control and Disciplinary Body for the throwing of missiles by its supporters at last Saturday's UEFA Euro 2012 Group B match between Germany and Portugal in Lviv.

The Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has been fined €5,000 (£4,000) for a delayed kickoff to the second half at the same match.

Germany edged the game 1-0 and went on to beat the Netherlands 2-1 last night, and Portugal picked up three points against Denmark.
