Paul Robinson leaves Portsmouth

Portsmouth have confirmed that defender Paul Robinson has left the club by mutual consent.

The 33-year-old, who made 38 appearances for the League Two side last season, arrived at Fratton Park from Millwall on an 18-month contract at the start of 2014.

"I have thoroughly enjoyed my year at Portsmouth. I've met some great people and want to praise the incredible supporters," he told the club's official website. "I hope the new manager and players reward the fans with the success they truly deserve."

Portsmouth start the new season at home to Dagenham & Redbridge on August 8.
