Dan Butler attracts Premier League interest?

Portsmouth defender Dan Butler has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for a number of Premier League clubs.

The 18-year-old, who came through the youth ranks at Fratton Park, impressed during a loan spell with Havant & Waterlooville earlier this month.

Butler was recalled due to Portsmouth's player shortage, however, and has started the last three games for the League One outfit.

According to Sky Sports News, his performances have not gone unnoticed with a number of Premier League clubs monitoring proceedings.

Portsmouth's financial troubles could force them into a sale.
