Arrest warrant out for Portsmouth owner

Lithuanian police have issued a European arrest warrant for the Russian owner of Championship club Portsmouth.

Officers are keen to question 36-year-old Vladimir Antonov and his Lithuanian partner Raimundas Baranauskas about Snoras Bank, which Lithuania's government nationalised last week after discovering a huge shortfall in assets.

Prosecutors have claimed that the two men are the main suspects in a pre-trial investigation into fraud and money laundering.

Reports have suggested that the asset shortfall could reach £250m.
