Half-Time Report: Nottingham Forest 0-0 Portsmouth

Two of the Championship's struggling sides entered the break 0-0 in an uneventful first half at the City Ground this afternoon.

Already-relegated Portsmouth were the visitors to Nottingham Forest, who had flirted with the drop themselves this season.

The hosts had the first opportunity of the game as Wolverhampton Wanderers loanee Adlene Guedioura shot powerfully, only to be denied by Jamie Ashdown.

The Pompey stopper was forced into another save soon after as Radloslaw Majewski tested him with a low strike.

Former Derby County striker Luke Varney had Portsmouth's best opening of the half but Forest keeper Lee Camp pushed his effort wide.
